  As a reward for good behaviour, all junior children will have the opportunity to watch the first half of the Wales V England football match this Thursday from 2.00 p.m. in the infant hall.  The 'Friends of Glan-yr-Afon' will be selling refreshments, we recommend no more than £1.

  Well done to our girls and boys football teams. Two great performances this week, the girls played at Pen-Yr-Bryn on Wednesday and gained a fantastic 1-1 draw after going a goal down.  Great goal Chantelle,, brilliant save Muzen.  The boys played at Meadowlane yesterday in a crucial league match and came away with a fantastic 1-0 victory!! Well done both teams.

  A massive well done to our girls football team. A really fantastic effort to make it through to the semi-finals at the Bryn-Hafod tournament last Friday. A huge effort by all. Amazing teamwork with some great goals. well done girls!

  Today is the last day of term, Summer term will commence Monday 11th April.  Everyone here at Glan-yr-Afon would like to wish you all a happy Easter.  Enjoy the half term break.

  Last night's Wrestling Event was a massive success.  Many thanks to everyone for their support, a fantastic time was had by all!!!!! Watch this space for the next 'Summer Slam'.

  Back by popular demand we are holding a wrestling night at Glan-YR-Afon Primary Wednesday 23rd March. Tickets= £7 single or £20 family (x4) tickets are on sale now or available on the door. Doors open 6pm show starts 6.30pm . The show also raises awareness of Kidscape a registered UK charity committed to preventing bullying. For information please contact Mr Ellery.

  Well done to our football team, another fantastic win last week against a very good Pen Y Bryn Primary School. A superb comeback after going a goal a great effort by our team to comeback and win 2-1.  "Keep it UP"  Good luck against Oakfield Primary tomorrow.
