Croeso i Flwyddyn 3 & 4!

Welcome to Year 3 & 4!

Hi, My name is Miss Waldron and I am the class teacher in Dosbarth Gwyrdd.

We are lucky enough to have Mrs Trevett and Mrs Neale supporting our class this year.

PPA will be every other Friday and will be taught by Mrs Macdonald.

Our school day:

School starts - 8.45am

Assembly - 9.00am

Breaktime - 10.00am - 10.15am

Lunchtime - 12.20pm - 1.00pm

School finishes - 3.00 pm

Punctuality and attendance is so important. If your child is unwell please call the main office to inform us of the reason. 

Children will be dismissed through the door by the gate to the top yard.

Reading

Children have access to reading books via the Giglets website. All children have received a hand-out which has their personal login details on. If your child needs a reminder of their login please request another from the class teacher. Children are invited to take a reading book home as well. 

Physical Education / Addysg Grofforol

Children will  have PE on a Wednesday. For this they need:

T shirt/Crys-t

Shorts/Siorts 

Trainers/Esgidiau chwaraeon

Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately and all P.E. kit is clearly labelled. 

Water/Dwr

Please provide your child with a bottle of water each day for school. Please avoid fizzy drinks and energy drinks. Your child will have the opportunity to refill their own water bottles throughout the day.

Snack/Byrbryd

Pupil are encouraged to bring a healthy snack to consume at break time. Pupils will not be allowed to eat crisps and chocolate bars, these will be given back to the children to consume out of school hours.

Homework/Gwaith Cartref

Homework and spellings will be set electronically via Google Classroom. Your child will need to be able to access Google Classroom using an iPad, tablet, Chromebook, laptop etc. 

A homework grid will also be posted on the Google Classroom with additional homework related to our topic.

Accessing Google Classroom from Home

To access Google classroom pupils can download a FREE app via the App store on an iPad or iPhone and via the Google Play Store on Android devices. Pupils then need to sign in using the username and password

provided to them by the class teacher. 

To access google classroom on a laptop or PC pupils need to go to classroom.google.com and sign in with their HWB details.

Forgotten your HWB details?  No problem, notify your class teacher and they can help you out.

Topic/Pwnc 1 - Fy Ngwlad a Fi! - My Country and Me!

The Fy Ngwlad a Fi (My Country and Me) topic helps pupils explore their identity, community and environment. The big idea is that understanding who we are, where we live and how we connect with our surroundings allowing us to grow as healthy individuals and responsible citizens.
