Welcome to our year six class page! Your class teachers this year are Miss Thompson (Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri) and Mrs Hyde. Mrs Bryant will also be working with our class. We are really looking forward to lots of exciting learning experiences this year and all the opportunities that a year six class have.

Our School Day

You need to arrive in school between 8.35-8.45am every morning, ready for the day ahead. Assembly starts at 9am every day and some of year six are responsible for preparing for assembly.

10.30-10.50am is morning break.

12.30-1.10pm is lunchtime.

3pm is hometime.

Arriving on time and attending every day is really important in year six, and will help prepare you for high school next year.

Autumn Term Topic 1- Cymru am Byth!

This term our topic is Cymru Am Byth! We will be exploring the Welsh identity and learning about the country that we live in. 

We will find out about the geography and history, as well as the culture of Wales.

Spring Term- Venture

This term we will be looking at important inventions that have changed the way that we live. We will be finding out about the Industrial Revolution and why it was so important in shaping the world today!

We also have the opportunity to take part in an exciting Rail engineering project where we will design and build our own electrically powered trains.

Summer Term- The Pale Blue Dot

This term we will be researching the Earth and the other planets in the Solar System. We will also be thinking about how fragile the planet Earth is and how our actions can affect other communities in other parts of the world. We will consider the importance of human rights and recognising the importance of diversity.
