Which entrance do I use?

We will be using the main entrance at the beginning and end of the day.

Spring 1

Our topic this term is Brilliant Builders.

We will be doing lots of exciting things including using the VR headsets to go on a tour of famous buildings and landmarks around the world. We will be finding out about different materials and doing some Science investigations to find out about their properties. We will be working in groups to build bridges.

There are some important dates this term. We are going to St Fagans on Tuesday 28th February to look at houses through the years and we will be seeing what wash day was like one hundred years ago with Beti Bwt.

We would love you to join us for our class assembly on Thursday 16th February.

We have lots of exciting things planned this term.

Our new topic is Light Up the World !

We are going to be learning lots about light, shadows and the solar system. We will be reading the story The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch by Ronda and David Armitage and we will be writing our own stories based on it.

P.E

We will be doing P.E every Monday this term. We would like children to wear their kit to school and they can remain in it for the day.

Reading

Reading at home is very important. Reading for just ten minutes a day can make a big difference. Children will have a reading book to bring home every Friday in their Book Bag. There is a Reading Diary in the bag which you can write in if you wish to do so. We are more than happy for children to change their books more regularly. In fact the more often the better.
